DCG Principal Tom Fennell recently obtained the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors® (SIOR) designation. Fennell earned his SIOR Dual Specialty designation for obtaining at least five years of creditable experience in the highly specialized field of industrial and office real estate
SIOR is the world’s leading industrial and office brokerage association, representing 3,600 members in 722 cities and 42 countries with only 144 SIOR Industrial & Office (Dual Specialists) worldwide. With over 54% of membership specializing in industrial and 28% in office, only 4% specialize in both industrial and office, making the dual specialist a highly reputable classification.
Closing on average more than 30 transactions per year, Tom is considered a top-producing professional reaching the highest standard of excellence in the commercial real estate community.
“I feel grateful to have earned my SIOR designation and to join the ranks of some of the best and most respected brokers in the world and look forward to continuing to serve my company and clients to the best of my ability.” — said Fennell
Tom is a principal and managing broker of Northern Nevada’s premier commercial real estate firm, Dickson Commercial Group (DCG). Joining principal Scott Shanks and top agents Travis Hansen and Joel Fountain, Fennell marks the fourth SIOR designee within DCG.
We’re very proud of Tom and his recent SIOR designation. Tom has established himself as a respected broker, partner, and expert in the office and industrial market here in Northern Nevada. Our firm holds the SIOR network in high regard as it’s composed of a group of professionals who exemplify much of what we strive for in our company. Tom will be a great addition to the SIOR network, and we are fortunate to have another one of our principals associated with the organization and everything that comes along with it.” — said Scott Shanks, SIOR and Principal with DCG
Fennell is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a member of the Northern Nevada National Association of Industrial Office Properties (NAIOP), the Economic Development Authority (EDAWN), and the Builders Association of Northern Nevada (BANN).
Active in the Northern Nevada community, Tom currently serves as the President and is on the Board of Directors for Nevada Bighorns Unlimited, a Nevada wildlife conservation organization. He also sits on the advisory board for the University of Nevada College of Business.
Providing fertile ground for business opportunities, SIOR has represented the top commercial real estate professionals worldwide for over 75 years, hosting two conferences each year, TransACT 360 and CREate 360. Members and other industry professionals gather worldwide for high-level networking and education.
