Congratulations to this year’s 16 commercial real estate young professionals for completing the 8 month Developing Leaders Institute (DLI) program and to the winning team of the ground-up development proposal competition: L.J. Jackson with Ticor Title, Makenna Backstrom with eXp Realty, Marquis Onorato with Dermody Properties, and Sam Turman with Kimley-Horn for their “AirRace IndustriCenter” project, a 116,000 square foot industrial building in North Valleys. 

The DLI program is designed for commercial real estate professionals aged 35 and under, and is instructed by 14 prominent industry leaders who guide the class through the various aspects of ground-up commercial development. The program assists in preparing its participants for successful careers in the commercial real estate industry by providing educational sessions across a broad range of real estate disciplines, leadership training, and networking sessions.  

 DCG would like to give a special shout-out to our very own Nick Knecht for his hard work and dedication as the 2022 Developing Leaders Committee Chair and organizer of the DLI program. 

DCG has had multiple brokers participate in the DLI course over the years and the class has helped our advisors to develop the key business skills necessary to help them ascend to leadership positions within their respective firms, in NAIOP, and the industry as a whole.
