(Reno, Nevada) — Joel Fountain of DCG has achieved the SIOR industrial designation awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. SIOR is a Washington, DC-based international professional organization of more than 3,400 commercial real estate professionals who have earned the coveted SIOR designation.
To achieve the SIOR designation, Fountain completed at least five years of creditable experience in the highly specialized field of industrial real estate; met stringent education requirements; and demonstrated professional ability, competency, ethical conduct, and personal integrity.
Individuals who hold the SIOR designation are top producers in the commercial real estate field and are represented in more than 685 cities in 36 countries around the world. SIOR enforces a strict code of ethics and requires designees to complete their ethics course within their first three years of membership.
Fountain started his commercial real estate career in the office division for Grubb-Ellis|NCG. For three years he focused on the leasing and sales of office properties, as well as tracking and researching market trends in northern Nevada. For the next four years, Fountain served as an associate for Sperry Van Ness specializing in the sales and leasing of office, retail, industrial, and land in Northern Nevada. He joined DCG in 2014 with a focus on industrial sales and leasing.
Fountain began his brokerage career in 2012 and joined DCG in 2014 is currently pursuing his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is an active member of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP). Prior to starting his real estate career, he played minor league baseball in Florida and North Carolina for the Miami Marlins organization.
